Home! Sweet, Home!
HipHipHooray! It's so good to be back on Montana soil!
Eric successfully finished his last radiation treatment yesterday (30/30!) and saw all of his physicians. His lab results continue to show that his body is handling chemoradiation treatment well. His care team remains impressed with Eric's ability to remain active throughout all of this.
Afterward, we loaded the Jeep, piled in, and headed north on I-15 all of the way back home. The drive went smoothly, fairly quickly, and all four of us are happy to be back in Montana.
After a good night's sleep in our own bed, Eric and Aspen hit the trails early this morning and saw many of our normal trail buddies. It is so good to see our normal crew (puppies and humans)! Eric was especially happy to run into Leslie, Tank, and Lewey! Very serendipitous to run into this special group on the first day back!
The next few days will be busy transitioning to Montana care providers, doing all of the little things on our To Do list (oil changes, unpacking, etc), and hopefully enjoying some downtime just hanging out on the front porch with Montana friends and family.
