Holidays

I don’t know where to start. I think the most appropriate place to start is to say that Eric and I are in awe of the light and love being sent in our direction from so many of you! Near and aft, we have felt it all!

For that we thank you each of you!

Eric and I spent the Christmas holiday (and have plans to spend New Years the same way) wrapped in the love and support of our friends and family.

Cards, texts, calls, notes, cookies, videos, surprises,  and Christmas dinner (ham, potatoes, bread, salad, beef Wellingtons, and more) arrived to our house in abundance from so many kind hearted and generous people.

So. Many. People.

From random Aspen hikes to grocery pick ups and other errands; random shoveling after recent snow to delivery of several freezer meals, so many people have offered to take time out of their busy schedules to make sure that Eric and I are well taken care of and ensure that our needs are met. So much kindness, caring, compassion and love.

So. Much. Love.

Throughout this journey there have been so many unknowns. But, the one thing we know, without a doubt, is that we know some pretty awesome people and have some phenomenal friends and family.  The kind that drop everything to help us.  We couldn’t do this with out the love and support of each one of you.  You each make our days better in your own rights and in your own ways.

For that, Eric and I thank you! Beyond words and without measure, our hearts thank each of you!

We hope that each of you have shared love and light with your family and friends this Holliday season!

Onward to 2023!

Our hearts, minds, and souls feel the love from everyone in these simple gestures and the brightened the darkest (happy solstice) and coldest (literally -30 degree; yes -30 degrees) days.

Eric’s parents arrived in time to spend Christmas with us and have been a constant force of help in the house, with cleaning, laundry, cooking, and of course comforting Eric and I and spoiling Aspen. Their constant willingness to do whatever needs to be done is overwhelming and refreshing all at the same time. Plus, they arrived with plenty of hugs for all.

So. Many. Hugs.

All of this is beyond comprehension and leaves us with so many questions. But yet also leaves us with so many feelings of love, compassion, caring, kindness, generosity, gratitude, and more.

So. Many. Feelings.

Here’s wishing all of you a happy new year full of people, love, hugs, and feelings.

As our youngest family members have taught us to say at the beginning of every meal, yet somehow seems so appropriate to say now, “we are thankful for family, friends, and food! Amen!”
