New Years Day

On this New Years Day I thank my friends, family and community for their prayer and outpouring of support. I sporadically am able to respond to e-mails, texts and facebook but please forgive me if a thank you isn’t sent, gratitude & appreciation are strong.

Gracie lies before me & I am filled with the awesome love felt the first day she was born. I had no idea my heart was capable of feeling the profound love inside. Today has many of the same feelings of her birth. Fear of her health, our ability to care for her and what the future will behold, but above all LOVE was greater than anything else as it is today.

We pray for Grace & as we do, hearts fill with hope at the baby steps taken each day. Grace felt pain in her back which was one of her first symptoms before feeling nothing. We are grateful & see this as a positive sign of healing.

Debbie

Happy New Year Gracie, Debbie, Bill, and Emily! You were on my mind and in my prayers throughout the day. The following verse came to mind. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." May God fill you with hope and a blessed future in 2015. All my love, Taisa

It is good to be a small part of the many who are sending their good wishes, inspiration and support to the whole family, but especially to Gracie. Gracie, may your recovery be swift.

For Grace A candle in our window is now burning there for you. Each night it flickers softly, for all you’re going through. If thoughts and prayers could lift you up then surely you would soar, with family, friends and strangers now an army at your door. Our hearts are with you every day and though we find no words to say a candle in our window is burning there for you, as if by some ethereal chance it could help to light your way. Don’t ever give up, sweet girl! Your fighting spirit will bring you home. Ann and Pack

Debbie, what a beautiful tribute to Gracie; your words are incredibly insightful and loving. We feel honored to be praying for Gracie and all the Fishers. Although we cannot possibly comprehend what you are going thru, the updates you provide allow us to pray specifically for your needs and praise God for the baby steps. You are in our thoughts and prayers continually and our small group asks about you frequently. May you find comfort in the knowledge that although you may feel alone in the quiet hospital room, outside those walls are so many people who love, care and pray for you all. You will not be forgotten in your journey ahead. We love you.

Gracie, you don't hear from us everyday, but we are thinking of you everyday. We are astonished at your spirit and resolve to heal so you can return to the amazing life of Gracie Fisher. We got to have Kodi a bit over the break, and let me tell you that between him and Riley there was never a dull moment! Kodi is just a big puppy in a full-size Husky body. He found many ways to entertain himself at our house. When not sparring with Riley he tried putting together the puzzle that was out on the table. Sadly, he turns out to be not very good at it as the pieces get soggy in his mouth before he's able to place them together. Did you know that Kodi's also a gardener? Ah, but I digress. Keep healing, Gracie, and know that we are cheering you on! ❤❤❤❤❤- Bridget, Ted, Connor, Cate, and Riley🐾
