"Ever so slightly" is a great thing
After her second plasmapheresis, Gracie is ever so slightly able to nod up and down. We are so grateful for this and also grateful for Gracie's aunt and niece who visited from Texas. They leave this morning, but helped make Grace smile a lot while they were here.
Gracie has 5 music students, three of whom are my friends' daughters. One of the girls said, "Mom, I want to be just like you, Denise or Gracie's Mom". The mother said, "Oh, like a professional [she is a veterinarian], Denise [a physician assistant], or Debbie [a physical therapist]?" Laura said "No, I want to have good friends from when I'm young be with me always, like you and your friends."
This made me think of my husband's friends, who, although they live further away, are pulling for him every step of the way. So make sure to thank the childhood friend, Paul Corr who started this website and manages calls, inquiries and so much more so that we can focus on Gracie.
Love to all our friends, old and new,
Debbie
ps: in Grace's spare time she tuned the respiratory therapist's ukelele - do not ask us how, but she did...

Gracie, congratulations on tuning the uke! Keep up the good work. We're here to help and send you seriously good vibes. Love, Steve and Debbie
Ukulele Tuning, incredible!! Gracie, I keep thinking about the time you came over our house and you and Mae worked on harmonies for auditions for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever". That was such a fun afternoon, so long ago. Also, what was that crazy Upstarts play where you played the piano like an old crazy hag?? Hilarious times!! Keep up the good work...I know you are going to teach us all something amazing on the other side of all this! We love you and keeping envisioning you dancing with Redenko, singing with the Madrigals, playing your piano and guitar and walking down Newbury Street with cute red-headed boys! Love, strength and peace, Claire and the rest of the Pendergasts
Yeah!! Sounds like great news to me. ;-) More prayers are coming your way for more progress.

Friendships are so important - and we often take them for granted --- and then are blown away by their power! You are surrounded by friends old and new who all just want to love you through this ordeal! I hope you feel all the love out there being directed right into that hospital room. I am so curious how Gracie tuned that ukelele!
