Just a Little Bit Longer...
Because of a procedure that needed to be done, Gracie's departure has been pushed just a little bit more. The doctors want to make sure everything settles out fine, so the new date is August 18th.
As I suggested in my last post, I am hoping we can carpet their front yard with Welcome Home signs! Make 'em as big as you want, and we will put them up on the morning of Gracie's return. You can drop off your signs any time to Ashley Fox, who lives just around the corner from the Fishers at 212 Canon Drive. You can also drop off your sign directly at the Fishers Thursday morning... Scott Burns and others from the Fisher's church will there to help put up all the signs that morning. I don't know exactly what time yet, but you can just leave them in the driveway in front of the garage if you get there before them.
Thanks,
Paul Corr

Oh, boy. "Make sure everything settles out fine". Sounds good in theory. Just make sure Gracie has a good reliable medical team out here in Santa Barbara. And at least one very strong medical liaison physician. One the family can reach 24/7. One who is communicating with Gracie's team in Denver, and can continue to do so. No matter how prepared and ready things seem, if you can count on anything, invariably, you can count on unanticipated things to happen. At the worst imaginable times. But it can work - and living at home is worth every bit of extra stress that comes with it.
