He's Doing Great!!

Joe is doing really well!  All his cancer numbers are very good (no active cancer present at this time).  He goes to the Cancer Center twice a month for a maintenance shot.  Those are not the greatest and he doesn't feel well for a couple of days, but by day 3 he's doing much better.  He still struggles with some stomach upset from time-to-time and pretty constant neuropathy in his feet (and his maintenance shot makes that worse). 

He's returned to work in a more retired fashion - working about 3 days a week being out and about meeting with existing customers and new customers and filling in at the shop as needed.  That allows him the flexibility to be able to help Mom on the home front, with Matt, visiting friends, etc.  Overall, while a huge change for him not working at the shop 60 hours a week, he's adjusting and seems to be enjoying it.  He has started working out at the DePaul Wellness Center 3 times a week with Mom.  It's all cardio since he can't lift more than 25 lbs, but he seems to be enjoying that as well.  

Most importantly, for those who really know Joe, his hair is growing back in very nicely!!!    

We have no scheduled appointments to go back to Barnes.  We anticipate this maintenance will last for at least two years (yes, he'll have to continue to get the twice-weekly shots for at least the next two years.
