Joe's Journey with Multiple Myeloma

Husband to Nancy, Father of Four, Grandfather of Five, Great-Grandfather of One, Friend to all who meet him. February 2013- Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (MM). Chemotherapy and radiation therapy targeting a tumor on his lower spine began. November 2013- Joe was in remission! May 2014- Joe's blood shows that the MM was active again. Chemotherapy regimen was restarted. August 2014- Joe had his stem cells harvested to prepare for his autologous stem cell transplant. September 2014- Joe was admitted to Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for autologous stem cell transplant.
