Looking Good, but Not Feeling Great
Although I'd have to say he looks like a million bucks, he's had a rough 24 hours. Lots of nausea and other side effects and very fatigued. I'm sure the doctors would say this is completely expected, but that doesn't make it any easier. Vitals have been good and overall he's continuing forward progress. He's very anxious to have his taste buds to be returning faster than they are. They are a little better but not really having too many cravings or tastes for anything specific.
He's pretty funny. Wearing his hat inside the house because his head gets cold with the ceiling fan on. Frustrated that he feels "uselss" and wants to be working but knows he can't. Hasn't had the energy to get into the garage, even to do a couple of simple things he wanted to do. When I suggested that he could do them inside (like going thru his CD collection), he said the garage is heated and he wants to do it there. Knows he needs to take more walks and would love to do it outside, but between his fatigue and the rain, it's kept him in the house and mostly in his chair.
He was excited tonight that his dear friends were bringing some seafood for him and Mom. They arrived just as I was leaving. So at a minimum, I know he'll have good conversation. We'll see how the seafood plays out.
Praise be to God for Joe's progress!

You're right, Michelle -- he does look like a million bucks! Here's hoping (and praying) that the next 24 will be better. I added Joe's name to the St. Jude Parish special intention box for the past several weeks -- that should help a lot.
