Mediocre Day
Day 16 has been uneventful. The transplant team told him to expect to feel weak and "puny" when he arrived home, and today was one of those days.
He didn't sleep great, got up super early (before 5 am) and couldn't go back to sleep. Cat napped off and on all day. Some nausea, some other side effects, a little chilly - his dry cough has started rearing its ugly head again too. All his vitals seem to be good and no fever. Of course, he doesn't feel like eating, but is forcing himself.
He goes back to Siteman tomorrow and gets his blood drawn so we'll have updated WBC, HCT and Platelets.
More to come tomorrow! Thanks for the continued prayers!

Thanks again Michelle for keeping us posted on Joes progress...Love you all of you
Hi Joe, A friend sent me this today and it just seemed to be made for you. May GOD Bless you every day of your life. But always hold these close to your heart and rejoice when friends and family pray for you!! The nicest place to be is in someone's thoughts The safest place to be is in someone's prayers, And the very best place to be is.... In the hands of God. Today would have been Joe Knaebel's 97 birthday, and of course, Al Knaebel's birthday and grandson, Tim Elliott's birthday. It was great to visit with Mom and family and they all said to say hello and you are in their prayers. Rest well! Love and prayers, Chris
Hope you feel better tomorrow, but you are doing amazingly well!
