Resting Comfortably and More of the Good Medicine
Joe is home and resting comfortably. Still has quite a bit of nausea and the Compazine provides for a nice long nap after food. He had a restful night and day. Mom is waiting on him hand and foot as if she were a RN and a medical tech changing shifts every 12 hours. That is driving him a little batty as he worries about her. Yes, in times like this you can tell they've been married 50 years!
He had a visit today from his favorite visitor (sorry to the rest of the family), Baby John. He always puts a smile on his face!
So the big complaint of the day was his hair. When they shaved his head, they left some stubble. When I arrived today, he said he felt like a piece of velcro - his head was sticking to the chair, the stubble was still falling out and getting in his eyes, etc. He wanted it completely clean shaven. Apparently his electric shaver isn't industrial enough to get that stubble off his head. As a result, he requested a clean shave on his head to include a razor and lathered soap. Courtney and I quickly veered him away from that idea due to his low platelets. Instead, he's now sporting a Do-Rag - He's so excited!
As far as days go, if his biggest complaint is some nausea, sleeping and hair in his eyes, I don't think he had too bad a day.
Keep up the prayers! We also appreciate all those who have made a donation. We're about half way to our goal to help him with medical expenses. I'm sure those bills will start rolling in soon.
God Bless!

Michelle thanks for all of the photos and updates. Joe your new hat is awesome. It is a good thing that Baby John is still pretty light. He would be like lifting a five pound weight. It is so good to see you smiling after all that you have been through. You are certainly an inspiration to all of us. Be lazy, be pampered and behave yourself. Love and prayers, Chris
Hey bro, you look like you're part of a gang now "the MM Hood":) Stay strong! Love ya.
