He's Home!
After 18 days in the hospital, Joe is home! He got the green light today from all his doctors! His WBC today was 6.6, HCT was 27.0 and Platelets 27. Limited stomach upset and not much pain in the arm. He returns to see the specialist on Monday, September 22 to get another count reading and find out next steps with treatment and removing the port.
He's resting comfortably at home this evening with all the hustle and bustle of the Hood house. I'm not sure how restful that is, but he's home! He did mention he was surprised at how tired he was today. He'll have a lot to learn and deal with going thru this recovery process.
More to come tomorrow! Keep praying! God is faithful!

Awesome!!!!!!!!! Welcome Home!!!!!
Great news!! Joe you probably used more energy than you know. The ride home in itself is a lot. Don't be afraid to turn off the TV and put a sign on the door that you need some quiet time. People will understand. Just so thankful that you are recouping so fast. You had to be determined to beat all of the odds. Keep on smiling and thinking great thoughts. You will be back to spoiling those grandchildren before you know it. Love and prayers, Chris
