Joe's MM Story

February 2013- Joe was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (MM). Debilitating back pain led to an MRI which found a tumor on his lower spine.  This lead to an appointment with an oncologist who then discovered that Joe had MM.  Chemotherapy and radiation therapy targeting a tumor on his lower spine began.

November 2013- Joe was in remission!

May 2014- Joe's blood shows that the MM was active again. Chemotherapy regimen was restarted.

August 2014- Joe had his stem cells harvested to prepare for his autologous stem cell transplant.

September 2014- Joe was admitted to Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for autologous stem cell transplant.

Blasted fladderatz! I thought you had this thing beaten! You've never been off my prayer list -- first for a cure, then for thanksgiving. I guess you'll stay there for both now. You know as well as I do what you've meant to my family for what? -- 35 or 40 years! I'll let that speak for itself. God bless, Joe!
