Day 20 - Better than Expected

Joe had a good day today!  He slept really well last night from 10 pm to 7 am.  Nausea was minimal today and he was able to eat several small meals throughout the day and stayed on time with his medications.  Vital signs were all good.

He had a small parade of people today to include his sister, Ruth and her husband, Gary, came by to visit for Ruth's birthday.  Travis and Chris took the new tow truck over for Dad to see as he had not yet seen it and they also took one of the older trucks that just had some paint work done.  He was excited about the new truck and liked the paint job on the older truck.

He took another pass at getting him some hats to wear.  Too big - again!  He's going to try to stitch one of them to make it smaller and I'll return the other for a smaller size.  He seems to have settled down with his hair stubble and apparently no longer feels like velcro and removed the towel from behind his head.

The good news of the day is that there is no news!  He had a pretty good day and continues to rest and heal.  He did have a couple of walks around the house today to build his bone strength.

Thanks for your continued prayers and support!

Good morning Joe, You are one of God's miracles. Keep up the good work. The small trip around the house will soon become two trips around the house, then three. One small step at a time. Everyone at the church is asking about your recovery. Some of them have been through the same procedures. We all are praying for a speedy recovery. Have a great day! God loves you! Blessings and prayers, Chris

A new truck is probably second best behind that beautiful baby boy! Some things never change. Still praying for you, Joe. I've started making you a hat -- hope this one fits.

You know the old saying "no news is god news", well I think we should change that to "no news is great news". You continue to surprise everyone with your progress and we are all thankful for that. Keep up the good work bro. We all love you!
