Can't Keep A Good Man Down

Joe continues steady progress.  Overall pretty good days with some nausea and other side effects at some time of most days.

He managed to sew the back of his hat so it fit (and fixed a pillow that needed to be stitched). He also maneuvered his way to the garage to fix the vacuum cleaner.  He was disappointed that he couldn't find some silicone caulk in the garage so he could fix some pipes in the yard.  After all his years of working 60+ hours a week, he clearly doesn't understand the meaning of rest.  With that said, Mom is on him like a hawk to make sure he doesn't do too much but she is on him to  make sure he continues to take walks around the house and regain strength.

His vitals continue to be good and steady - right where we want them.  I took him some sugar-free blackberry cobbler from the Blue Owl yesterday and he was very excited that he also had some sugar-free ice cream to go along with it.

Thanks for the ongoing prayers and support.

God Bless!

HI Joe and Nancy, So glad that you are doing so well. I know that it is difficult to just sit so…..Just DON'T OVERDUE and be careful. I can remember Grandma Berhorst (Hildergards Mother) telling people to learn to crochet or knit. It really does help to pass the time as your body heals. If I lived closer I would come and teach you as I did the 9 year old twins. They have been making hats for the Neonatal Unit for years now. I certainly love to hear the stories and special thanks to those who keep posting. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. You are one of God's special miracles. Blessings and prayers, Chris
