Getting Stronger
He's doing great! Another week of not much to report!! Vitals are good and steady and he's continuing to exercise with his walks and getting stronger.
His weeks are pretty low key and include lots of naps, visiting, garage projects, and cooking. He did get out of the house a bit this week and had lunch with his brother, Don, and good friend, Conrad. His good friend, Fran, also made him a new hat! (Fran, I'll get a pic of him with that hat on for next weeks update).
This next week, he's planning to go with Mom to visit their friends, John and Marlene for the day and visit with them. John was Dad's best man in their wedding 50 years ago so they always have plenty to visit about while the girls go out and about.
4 more weeks until he has the bone biopsy to see if the stem cell transplant worked! Keep saying those prayers!!
9 more weeks until he ventures to Florida for a fishing trip with all his brothers! The 2nd week of January, he's planning a trip to ride down with Jim and Don to Florida to see Chuck and Vince and go fishing for a few days! He's very excited about this trip and to have all the brothers together again!
Thanks for your continued prayers and support!!

A fishing trip with Joe's brothers! Talk about a therapeutic trip!!! Have a wonderful time, handsome! You fish; I'll pray :)
Sounds like you are doing great! I am so glad. Not sure which brother is more excited. Jim is very excited about fishing and even more excited about the brothers being together. Maybe you should have gone this week. 82 in Daytona today while I am looking out the window at the snow. Keeping you in my prayers. Dianne
Hi Joe, So glad to hear the great news. Keep up the great work. You are still in our prayers and praying for your success. I can't image what trouble you Hood boys will get into. Maybe age will slow you down a bit, but…. I still have many memories of some the shenanigans some of the boys played, especially Jim Hood. Joe, Rich and Jim used to get in a lot of trouble during the summer vacation at the farm. Those were certainly happy days. Can't wait to hear the stories. Stay warm and stay healthy. Blessings and prayers, Chris
Awesome! Those fish are just waiting for you guys. Good Times:)
