Day 65 - All is Well!

Joe continues very good progress.  I'm happy to report there is nothing to report!  His vitals are good.  He doesn't have any upcoming doctor appointments for the next 30 days and doesn't have to go back to see his primary care doctor until January.  He's continuing to get stronger, walking, resting, napping, and piddling.

He's back to driving (short trips here and there) in his new 1997 Honda Civic!  Just the kind of car he likes to tinker with.  He's been slowly tackling those garage projects.  I do have to say I'm not sure who is keeping who in line - Mom keeping Dad in line or Dad keeping Mom in line - it appears depending on the day and hour, its both.

Dad is really enjoying getting to see #1 Great Grandson, John, grow up.  He's 7 months old now.  He gets to visit with PawPaw Joe almost weekly.  Mom (aka Nanny) will put out a distress call as she's having withdrawals and John will appear within a couple of days.  It's great to have Courtney, Big John, and Little John all back in St. Louis so Dad can get to watch him grow up.  It's even better that Dad is healthy enough to get to watch him grow up.

For those of you who have known Dad for a long time, he loves trains.  When Little John was born, he started talking about getting him a train.  Mom found an old Snap On train and wanted to sell it and Dad said "absolutely not! - I'm saving that to play with John."  Luckily, there is not a Menards close to Dad because I had my first visit to Menards this weekend and they have a huge Lionel Train Set.  I think if he'd seen that, we'd all be stepping over it as he routed it around the entire house for the baby!

Thanks for your ongoing prayers and visitors!  Prayers are being answered and Visitors are always welcome!

Thanks for the updates. Joe looks really great and the wonderful little grandson is just what the doctor ordered. Children give us something to love and focus on and Little John is a real jewel. I am so thankful that the family is close. Memories made will be treasured forever. We will continue praying for a complete return to health. Keep up the great work and enjoy the sunshine as I suspect it will be changing soon. Prayers and blessings. Chris
