Tackling Garage Projects
Joe continues to do very well. Slowly but surely, he's getting there. He's tackled a couple of small projects in the garage. He's taking walks. He does report that his back gets pretty sore after walking a fairly short distance and he needs to sit and rest. The cold weather has provided chills and at times he struggles to stay warm. But overall, he's in great shape! All vitals continue to be very good.
Tonight was a big night out as he went to dinner with some friends for a 60th birthday! They were headed out for a big steak dinner. Joe and Nancy were excited for a change of scenery, good friends, and good conversation.
He's at Day 58 today. Another 6 weeks until we find out if the stem cell transplant has worked. All indications are looking good.
Thank you to all the visitors he's had. He's enjoying getting to "reconnect with society" as people have started to come by the house and visit.
We also appreciate all the prayers! Keep them coming! He still has a long road of recovery, but he's doing great!
Until next week's progress report!

I was astounded how good you looked when I stopped by this week! I've started the third hat; maybe I'll get your head right this time. :) On our little walk, you took me up too much hill for this asthma lady, but I thought, "If Joe can do it, I can, too!" And it didn't kill me. LOL What a pleasure meeting Nancy! Prayers and positive thoughts continuing . . .
Hello Joe and Nancy, Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. It just takes time and patience. Both of these things are difficult for a hard working person to wait for. It actually saw two of the parishioners of the parish this weekend who have gone through the same procedure. They are Eucharistic Ministers and active members of the parish now that they are survivors. They said to tell you they are praying for your complete recovery. And they also said they have more appreciation for each and every day. Please take care and know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Chris
I knew you would get in that garage as soon as you felt better. It's good to tinker around with stuff ---- Lord knows our Dad did plenty of it. I think it kept him going! It sure beats sitting in front of the boob tube:) Love Ya! Sis
