It is Monday, day three.  I am doing as well as when I came in.  I am hooked up to a machine 24/7 that is alway dripping something into my arm, blood, saline, platelets blah blah blah.  I asked for a gin and tonic drip, so far no luck.

We are in the waiting phase while the lab guys break my bone marrow sample down to the DNA level to determine exactly what I have and how we are going to treat it.

We met my doctor today and he confirmed it is leukemia.  He said we don't have enough info yet to nail down the exact course of treatment.  But he gave us lots of info and answered all our questions.  My impression is that he is very knowledgeable, careful and has been doing this for a long time.  I trust him.  We should have the lab work back tomorrow so we can get started.
