Since the last post, Meghan had her PET scan. Overall she is making good progress but will need to have two more rounds of chemo, 1 of which she started last week. She is doing ok with this round just like the last one.
On a positive note, Meghan has the same home teacher she had two years ago and is very happy. She began schooling two weeks ago and is doing well.
We recently also learned that her little brother Tim is a 100% match for the bone marrow transplant. He hopes that by giving her his bone marrow Meghan will become more athletic. LOL :)
Due to having two additional rounds of chemo the bone marrow transplant will not be done till around mid to late October. Once they begin, Meghan will be in the hospital for one month and then for 2 1/2 months after she is released we will be living in a short term apartment close to the hospital. This is so that should Meghan develop any problems we can get her to the hospital ASAP. Unfortunately this will have us away from home through the holidays, but we will find a way to celebrate anyway.
Thank you for your continued support.
Have a Blessed Day.
Michele
