Feb 21, last night at UMMC
Meghan is hanging tough she makes me proud to be her dad. 14 treatments down with two to go. These three consecutive days of treatments really were her out. Luckily she has a comfortable bed in a private room and is able to sleep the majority of the stay.
Her food of choice this round was Frosted Flakes and Doritios and nothing else. Meghan tatse buds are going crazy, but she certainly keeps us guessing so it's never boring.
Tonight...knock on wood.......is her last night as a resident of UMMC, all total since Nov 30th Meghan has spent 19 nights on the 5th floor pediatrics. During Meghan's stays we meet so many wonderful nurses, doctors and support staff. They all are focused on taking care of every patient every minute. Thank you to them all for taking special care of our little girl. <3
The next treatment is tomorrow and the LAST CHEMO TREATMENT is next Wednesday. Finally and end in site YEAH........... Also on that day Meghan will meet her Radiologist and we'll begin discussing the next phase of beating this dreaded disease. This phase will be easier but treatments are consectutive so it will require many trips into Baltimore. "Home of the World Football Champions"
With spring just around the corner we are asking for prayers that March 23rd be a warm sunny spring day. We are so looking forward to seeing and spending time with everyone that has lifted Meghan up in her time of need.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
God Bless
Dad
