Captured Moments. Forever Memories. |9-1-16|

First of all: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Grandpa Osterhaus! I love you so much!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you guys know Kayla (Stallbaumer) Hulsing from Seneca? I feel like everyone in Northeast Kansas knows her, and if not, you should. Kayla grew up just a few doors down from me, and I have felt so lucky to have continued a friendship with her throughout the years. She owns her own photography business, Capture., and has photographed my kids over the years, as well as my sister's wedding.
Head over to her website to check her out. No, not like that- she's married!
She is also on Facebook
When Mike was first diagnosed, she offered to do photos for us, but we thought it might be more fun to do them once he was in remission. At the time, we were thinking June or July.
That time still hasn't come for us, and 3 weeks ago I started thinking about Christmas cards, and also thinking about how the kids and Mike should have some pictures to get us through the time during the transplant.
I texted Kayla, and asked her if she, by any small chance, (the girl is always super busy!!) she had any available time to squeeze some pics in before Mike went into the hospital. She sent me a pictur back of her calendar, with the next 2 weeks circled, and said, "you name it, I'll make it work."
So Kayla ended up coming to our home last Thursday and got some shots of our family. At the time, we thought we only had 2 days left with Mike at home.
I LOVE the photos that she has sent me so far. She captured the spirit of our family perfectly.
I just wanted to take take the time to honor Kayla and show her how much gratitude And love I have for her. We will cherish these images for the rest of our lives. It helps us to see that although we are journeying down a bumpy road, there are people along the way who refill our cups, and at times, carry us on.
Thank you, Kayla, for being you.
