Many of you have asked how to get a card, note or care package to Shannon.

The building has a concierge so if it bulky or flowers it will be brought up to the apartment. (The Concierge is located at 173 E 6th St St Paul, not the mailing address if you wanted to drop something off in person)

This is a smaller apartment with limited space for flowers and plants and we have already received some beautiful arrangements which have brightened up not only the apartment but Shannon’s day as well.  Thank you to those have sent these beautiful signs of spring and bits of beauty.  Moving forward however I ask that you hold off on sending any of these for three reasons. 

 1.        Patients undergoing chemo with compromised immune systems should not handle cut flowers, change the water in vases, dig in the dirt (check potted plants soil) etc..

2.       Shannon loves doing all of the above and is tempted to do these things.  She loves digging in the dirt and smelling the roses, literally!

3.       All off these items will fall to me and I don’t have a green thumb, forget to water plants and generally am better at killing things than I am keeping them alive so if left to me...

Drop Shannon a note, card or funny postcard.  Yes, old fashioned mail is cool too.  Us Gen Xer’s remember the days before email, Myspace and Facebook.  Feel free to send it!

P.S.  Added bonus, Shannon gets out of the apartment to go check the mail!
