This sounds like a really fun event and sure to lift Shannon's spirits - how I wish I could be there! Wish her happy birthday for me on the day and I'll donate the dish instead. Wendy Sands xx
Shannon, I want to let you know that you have had a positive influence on the my life and the lives of many through dance and fashion. I appreciate your sincere passion for dance and fashion. I was at Lee's last night, and I saw your influence. Every time I see someone dressed in the "Swing" style in clothes and hair, I think of you. It is a testament to you as a human being to have so many bands playing at Lee's for your benefit on 15 May. I am so sorry to hear of your cancer and the struggles you are enduring. I hope it is of some solace that there are many people who think fondly of you and all with whom I have talked to are deeply saddened and wish for you all the best. You have been a force for good, beauty, and empowering women. I am sorry you must endure the ridiculous and offensive comments from people who suggest Aunt Cami or Dr. (not a medical degree) Brian Adams can heal by praying over you, rubbing some olive oil on you....and by you being repentant and willing to truly forgive everyone of anything and everything that has been done to you. I thought this type "medicine" left our country years ago and resided only in the most impoverished and ignorant places of our planet. You did nothing to deserve this terrible news. I am grateful that our lives crossed paths, as I am leading a fuller life because of you. All the best, Ron Lien, Hopkins
