Rich is 30 Tomorrow!

Rich already joked today that he “feels” 30.  In reality, the aches and pains, muscle spasms and more daily challenges than I can count are not what we expected for 30! Despite these facts, Rich continues to be the best husband and best father each and every minute.

Tomorrow will be a beautiful day, celebrating Rich. We will be kicking off our week-long staycation, which includes not only his big day but also his favorite holiday! He has lots of food requests, such as a new chicken curry I made for the first time last week, along with many Thanksgiving classics. Thanksgiving food is obviously his favorite, considering we had it as our meal at our wedding! I will be in the kitchen for the next 4 days or so, working and shifting ingredients to fit his latest nutritional needs. I will be smoking a turkey on his Green Egg, which was gifted to him by his very generous and kind coworkers for his birthday last year! As I type this, there is a paleo carrot cake in the oven (his favorite)!

Please send lots and lots of love Rich’s way through texts, emails, and by sharing our GoFundMe. Covid does not make birthdays easy, especially milestone birthdays! I am bummed we won’t be able to celebrate in person with family and friends, but I still want Rich to feel lots and lots of love. We will make it special with decorations, and he requested lots of art projects with the kids! Me and the kids started with making a big birthday sign. I am no artist, but our son requested I draw certain animals on the sign and I gave it my best!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Living life one day at a time,

Leah
