12/12: ER

Yesterday Peter and I had the conversation about our plan to stop posting updates soon because things have been going so wonderfully smoothly. Then tonight we were up all night with abdominal pain and vomiting. Recovery isn’t a “fair” fight, but we are thankful for our care providers and our caring community.  

We are waiting on a CT scan. Peter is currently not in pain, and is getting a few minutes of sleep. We are both exhausted but overall doing okay. Hopefully we will not need to be admitted. Please pray for miraculous healing and no adverse effects from having so many CT scans this year!

We love you all so much. The last 10 days were a beautiful break, Peter played hours and hours of video games interspersed with visiting friends, going to church, spending time with Esther and celebrating his birthday. We are so thankful that God is right here, filling us even as these circumstances empty us. He is faithful and we stand on His promises!
