10/20 Update

We are so excited to announce that Callahan has just finished her last therapy session at Gaylord Hospital! 🎉🎉🎉Another awesome milestone conquered 💪🏼Her mom and I went this morning to do PT training for when she arrives home. Today will be the last day we walk out of the hospital without Callahan.

Tomorrow we will pick her up at 11:00am. Our hearts are filled with so much joy 🙌🏼😍We are so thankful for answered prayers and are looking forward to the next chapter in Cal's journey. She will begin outpatient PT/OT therapy twice a week and start attending several follow up appointments.

We do ask for continued prayers as she transitions home and gets settled. We are concerned about the nerve pain she is experiencing on her right side but are optimistic that the doctors will be able to help us manage it and support Cal through it.

As I was preparing Callahan's room last night, I couldn't help but to feel so thankful as I unwrapped all her gifts and put them around her room ❤️Our family will be forever grateful for all of the love and support that we were given through this difficult time. We could not have done this alone! God showed up for our family big time and reminded us that He was always here with our family we just got too busy to notice. Even though these 6 1/2 weeks have broken us to our core we are so thankful to God for teaching us so many things and especially bringing our baby girl home to us.

Thank you so much for loving our family so well 🙏🏼🥰

There she goes again! Another milestone! God has proven his protection of Callahan (Psalm 91) day and night. He knows how special she is and has stuck with her, and will continue to do so! Wishing all good things for continued healing and 🙏 that each day, she discovers a new strength or ability! Sometimes, the nerve/pain management can be hard, but it sounds like she has an excellent team of doctors to help with that! I will continue my 🙏 and sending of ❤️ each and every day to this blessed child of God who is ON HER WAY HOME! Love you to the moon and back, Cal! Keep up the great work! Love, Auntie Carey
