Mon, 3/2/2015 2nd Chemo Infusion

Hello, My Rockstar Friends and Family!

What a day! Chemo went well. It took an extra 3 hours because the clinic where I drew my blood on Sunday sent my labs to the wrong place. Whoops! So of course I seized the extra 180 moments and took more (many more!) pictures of the chemo room…in panoramic, in slow mo, and I even videoed the sound the infusion pump makes (exciting stuff)! But I didn’t take any pics of under the bed--because that would just be weird!

I also spent the 6 ½ hours in that bed burning about 10 calories (playing with the bed up and down buttons) and eating over 1400 more. Yep, found another way to get my calories in. Stick me in a bed and make sure there’s food nearby. Oh yeah, and tons to read.

Anyway, feeling MIRACULOUSLY well! Truly it’s miraculous. (Scott’s a little freaked out and keeps sneaking looks to make sure I haven’t crumpled onto the floor in a heap of exhaustion). I have no nausea; food still tastes good and I’m not tired. Nope. I’m wired. (Even more scary for Scott.)

Now, this can change at any moment and I’m guessing I’ll wake up at 3am again and have to deal with it. But—I can’t say it enough—it’s miraculous and we know the source: Psalm 77:14 “You are the God who performs miracles…”

Again, thank you for your prayers and your notes and your cards and your messages and all the gifts and food (Rylee calls them “cancer perks”) and just being so wonderful. It really makes a difference! Not just to me but also to my family. You truly are my Rockstars!

What a relief that it went so well and that you are feeling as well as you are! I enjoyed the pictures a lot, especially the one of Scott sleeping. Poor dear is probably exhausted. I need to come spend a day in chemo room. I feel left out of all the fun you're having. ;-/
