Fri, 3/16/15 Super Fantastic!
It is a Super Fantastic day! You guys are doing great on your prayers! The chemo went without a hitch--though I did spill my water all over the floor in the chemo room. I think the nurse wanted to take my water cup away from me after that. I told her I wouldn't put my feet up on the table anymore. Whoops! Poor nurses. They have to do everything, including janitorial duties. Thank you to all you nurses out there. You rock!
Anyway, I digress. The chemo infusion went great. They told me I didn't have to do the Benadryl. So I didn't. But I was still groggy from one of the nausea medicines. ugh! But it passed and now I'm starting my Decadron high (steroids to prevent nausea) which makes me super energetic. Up and down. Up and down. Just like a roller coaster. I'm being super bold and throwing my jazz-hand-glove-covered hands in the air!
Yes. I have the cold neuropathy again...annoying. But it'll end so the jazz-hands gloves are back on for now.
Anyway, the main point: MY CEA tumor marker test is down to 416!!! Yaaaaayyyy! That's a 42% drop after only 2 chemo sessions. SUPER FANTASTIC!!! (shout out to David Witt for giving me that amazing phrase!). We are sooo happy about this. The treatment is working! God is so very merciful!!!
Also, my Oncologist said that the first few chemo sessions are usually indicative of how the rest will be. And since the first two went so well, the rest should be the same...say it with me now: SUPER FANTASTIC!!!
