Feeding Challange & Appointments

I made it six days just eating food and trying to get enough nutrition by mouth (no tube feeding).  But, I guess it was not enough calories because I lost 10 pounds this week.  It is amazing that being I have no reserves, the weight comes off way too easy.  Before cancer I couldn’t pay money to lose10 pounds…..haha and LOL. J

Last night I started feeding through the “J” tube again until I can get a better handle on my nutrition.  This recent weight loss is not necessarily a part of the chemotherapy, it’s just me underestimating the amount of calories I need to consume. My current weight is 60kg.

Tomorrow Tom, my Dad, and of course myself will be headed to Denver.  I get extensive blood work followed by a CT scan of my head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis.  Then, the next day we meet with the Surgical and Medical Oncologist to see if anything has changed and to make sure we are still on the right track.

My Dad will fly back to Atlanta when we are done in Denver.  It sure has been nice to see him.  We are going to try for a walk while it is still sunny today.  I think the weather may be changing again tomorrow or something.

Big… P.S. With any hope…..John Schultz will be able to meet us for the doctor’s appointment/report follow-up on the 20th. J  Even though Tom is way smat (LOL), and the doctor will call John, it is always comforting having him there when results or potential big decisions have to be made.

Everyone have a great Monday and a great 420 when that time comes around J
