Low Platelets

Had my blood draw in anticipation of chemotherapy tomorrow.  Unfortunately, my Platelet count is only 87 so they have postponed chemotherapy until next Monday 12/02.  That is, assuming my Platelets are over 100 by then.

Tom has family coming in town for the winter so I am moving to Rick & Linda’s for the remainder of the winter or until I head for Asia or the Caribbean or somewhere.

I don’t know how to thank Tom for all the hospitality he has given me, but I guess it’s time to move on…… Fortunately for me and unfortunately for Tom (LOL) he is still stuck with being my caregiver….haha.  Now Tom gets to share the babysitting job of me with Rick & Linda..... :)  Your guys turn. haha.  I will try and behave.

My goal is to travel somewhere as soon as I figure out the eating thing again.  It’s time to get rid of the feeding tube and get all my nutrition via mouth.  Then….I can get the hell out of Dodge. LOL J

Thanks again for all the love and support you guys are giving me…….it really makes a difference. J

Eric - time for some imagery.....think of those platelets as bunnies, and you know what bunnies do.............you'll be over 100 in no time! Hugs. Vicki

I hope you get to Asia or the Caribbean. You really deserve a trip. 12/2 is right around the corner. Happy Thanksgiving to you. We are thankful for whatever step forward it is for you.

Lucky for Rick and Linda and unlucky for Tom. But Tom will still be with you so that's good. My visit with you and Tom's hospitality last week was nothing short of fantastic! I just have to figure out how to breathe like you up there. There's no doubt you'll be traveling shortly and done with the chemotherapy for good. Really proud of you! LY... Dad
