Fun Weekend
I am all settled in Rick and Linda's house. My new room is great with two big windows and tons of light? Don't have the mountain and ski hill view I had at Tom's...but oh well. I am really digging my new digs and if Linda has anything to say about it, I will meet my caloric and exercise needs
Went skiing on Aspen mountain with Mike Young this weekend. It was great to get out, make some turns, and get my daily dose of vitamin D. The best skiing run of the day was Hyrups.....I was planning on just doing some easy skiing but of course the steeps were calling my name...LOL
Onto medical.....I had my 8th esophageal dilation a week ago or so. My esophagus had shrunk from 13.5mm back to 9mm so the doctor put in a temporary stent. We are hoping I can develop some muscle memory and stay open. I go back in 6-8 weeks and if my esophagus shrinks after taking the stent out, I am afraid we will be looking at a permenant stent which I hope does not happen. I also had a repeat CT scan of my chest, abdomen, and pelvis. The results were pretty much same same; nothing new. Being they put the stent in I had a one night sleep over at UCH. Then they wanted us to hang in denver for one day in a hotel. The pain from my stent placement is pretty much gone ;)
With my new stent I have been able to pig out...LOL I have been eating cooked beef, potatoes, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc, etc
I only have 2 chemotherapy sessions left........yessssssssssss. Tomorrow I get a blood draw and if my platelets are 100 or above, I will get chemotherapy on Wednesday, otherwise I will get the chemo next week.
So this post does not get to large, that is pretty much it for now. Everyone think high platelets for tomorrow. And once again I want thank all you guys for your love, post, and support.
