Treatment Has Been Delayed
Yesterday afternoon we got a call that MD Anderson is still dealing with my insurance and treatment will begin once all approvals have been received. The person told Jason that they are familiar with our insurance company and that usually ask for a call from the doctor to discuss why certain treatments are necessary. We took that to mean they know how to deal with our insurance so we are not worried about it. We are, however, a little anxious to get started on treatment so I hope they get that figured out very soon.
Today I had another blood draw at 8 AM followed by cognitive & IQ testing. I think I passed but we'll learn more in a week or so. And now we wait to hear when treatment begins.

Dealing with managed care was the reason I left my practice as a therapist at a hospital. Frustrating. Especially for innovative or research programs. Breathe & enjoy your day. <3 E
Crazy!!!!! I wonder what treatments the Insurance Company suggests!
Ahhhh- so frustrating. Hope the Dr's make the contacts today-- seems like they've had a couple of weeks to do this. I feel your impatience!! More deep breaths! Swearing & Screaming help too!! Love you!
Hang in there sweet lady! Praying that the insurance company acts quickly to get your treatments in place. Hugs and much love.
There is a special place in Hell for insurance companies.
