Out of the hospital
Good news – Steve is finally home from the hospital!
Steve was in the hospital for 10 days while a team of doctors attempted to stop the spasms of his diaphragm which prevented him from eating or sleeping.
Through a combination of medications and radiation to metastatic liver tumors which are suspected of playing a role, Steve was able to get some relief so that he could begin to regain some strength and get some much-needed rest. Unfortunately, he picked up a common hospital infection, C. diff, which has slowed the recovery process. The management of the spasms is ongoing but we hope to have more luck now that we’re home.
Steve is happy to be home and we are hopeful that this change in environment will facilitate a faster recovery.

Hooray for being home! I've been hoping to hear this ever since mid-week passed. Hospitals certainly have their place and are a blessing when needed (although, too often a mixed blessing as you experienced.) I'm SO happy for you all, now that Steve is where he needs to be to recuperate. Love, Jo

Coming home from a hospital stay is always a cause for celebration. Praying and hoping that you will continue to improve and get much needed rest and recovery.
Oh I am so thankful to hear this great blessing and will continue to pray for Steve and your family. We miss his bright smile in the office, but I'm glad he's home around his loving family getting better. Please tell him Lisa says hello and I'm keeping my smile on like he asked me to.
