Joanne Update
Dear friends and family,
With a heavy heart, I want to let you know that Joanne passed just before midnight on Tuesday, October 6. She was calm and at peace. She left this world in typical Joanne fashion. She decided that she was ready to leave, and she did!
Thank you for the loving wishes that you have sent over the past two-plus years. They meant everything to Joanne.
I will post again in the near future, to advise of plans regarding a service to remember and celebrate Joanne.
Love to all,
Pat Williams, Friend of Joanne

Thank you for letting us know. I'm glad she went peacefully.
Thank you for keeping us apprised. It has been a tough journey, faced with such courage. Bless her heart and may she be at peace.
A classy champion, forever in my heart ...
Such sad, sad news. The world lost an incredible person and I lost a life-long friend. Rest In peace, my dear friend.
Will miss my friend of 40+ years. It however has been very gratifying to see all the outpouring of love and affection from so many. I will savor many fond memories.
Yes, thank you for letting us know, Pat, and do keep us informed if there is any kind of memorial. So glad now that I went to visit Joanne last summer. She had been through the wringer with her health the few months before (and in isolation), and while still physically weak, she still had a strong mind and a great attitude. Rest in peace, Joanne.
Difficult to express my thoughts. Thanks to those who helped Joanne on her final journey
So thankful that Joanne was able to leave this world peacefully, on her own terms, in the comfort of her "tree house". Looking forward to celebrating her life with all of you if and when we can!
Thank you so much for letting us know. I'm so thankful that she was able to make her own life decision, be at peace, and not be forced to prolong her suffering. Thank you for telling us about Joanne's peaceful Promotion to Glory (a term I found in a Salvation Army employee's 'zine and which I find quite appropriate). Farewell, Joanne. Know that our love for you fuels your journey. "All done, all fled, and now we faint and tire — The feast is over and the lamps expire!" —Viola Garvin
Pat, I hadn't realised that Joanne was that ill - so sorry to hear it. I have a vision of her smiling face that will never leave me. She was a wonderful person and I am relieved that she was peaceful at the end. Thank you to those who supported her.
Pat, I’m so sorry. I completely missed this post. Joanne passed the day our new granddaughter was born and I was not reading emails around then. I will always remember Joanne fondly. She was a wonderful person with so much heart. Thanks for all you did for her.
