I think it’s time to stop counting the days as it will be many more to come. As we have been told many times by Walkers doctors, it will take a long time to recover from this. And so it goes....
A wonderful young man here at FH, Jeremiah, is a patient social worker that I had to opportunity to speak with today told me this and I believe it may help you, like it did me, to understand a bit better this situation we find ourselves in today.
He told me a great analogy for Walkers situation is like if you take your car, your 2 yr old sports car Porsche 911 for example, into be fixed and you keep going to the shop everyday and he has taken more things out of the engine each day you visit to where most of the engine is strewn about around the car and you are asking what is going on and he tells you that in order to fix the main problem I got to take all this apart in order to fix it and put it back together again. You are bummed out cause you know you will not be able to drive your awesome car for a long while till it’s fixed but you are confident knowing that you will get your car back in good order and be able to have a blast driving it again.
That being said, they started Walker on dialysis last night so they can give his kidneys a rest and control things better for continued healing. So, seems rough and it is but it’s best for right now to help fix the overall problem with Walker car.
