10 - 6 A good quiet week
Walker has been home 12 days now since his last ICU visit and we are steady as she goes :-). Candy and Walker have developed a great rhythm of rest, exercise, breathing treatments, and food, then repeat, that seems to be working. As the writing I saw at the beach on Wednesday when doing a drive by visit says, “One step at a time, enjoy each day” is our motto right now. The main thing is we are making progress everyday in the right direction. We are very! thankful.
Huge props to Candy as she has found a way to keep on top of Walkers care and keep him moving along steadily. Don’t know how she does it, I know there is no way I could do it, she has found a new depth of patience and a strengthen she never knew she had through this. May God continue to bless her and strengthen her in this extraordinary journey. And today Walker got to journey around the neighborhood walking our doggies for first time since January. We sure have learned the immense value of our pets to bring healing and happiness to life in the midst of all this happening. Thank you Lord for our Suki, Willow, and Mimi the cat.

Everyday with Walker is a gift we all cherish - his mother is beyond amazing - a true inspiration - but that is the love of a mother ---as old as I am - I have never missed my mother as much as I have these past months- just a mothers hug heals many hurts! Thank you all for you prayers - please continue - a long way to go in this journey but we will not lose FAITH - Walker seems to keep a positive outlook - grateful for that --- and grateful for Dave and Laura and their continued love and support! Bless the whole family I pray ---
