Yesterday was the longest Monday we have all ever had to endure.  We went to chemo at 10:30am and did not leave the hospital until 4:00pm! Anne's PICC line was clotted a little bit and she had to have a medication to help un-clog the end of the line.  This process took an hour and five minutes to complete.  Once that was completed, they were able to start her chemo pre-meds (the nausea medications, as well as normal saline).  After the pre-meds, she was able to get her two chemo medications and her medication to make her bones stronger.  During this entire process, Anne was extremely tired and very, very confused.  The oncologist decided to take her off of her pain patch, because they believe that is what was causing most of the confusion.  

After chemo, we went over to radiation.  She got her treatment and then we met with the radiation oncologist.  He suggested that we bring in a Hospice nurse to help with pain management and anything else Anne would need.  Radiation treatment has now ended.  We are still not sure whether chemo is going to continue or stop as well.  The Hospice nurse is supposed to come out to the house on Saturday at 3pm to do a home evaluation of Anne.  I guess we will find out more then.  

Anne is still pretty tired and slightly confused.  I was starting to worry about her not eating much, today she has had a jello cup and a little bit of taco salad.  I know, it doesn't sound like much, but compared to what she has been eating, that's a lot! Hopefully we can get this to get better over time.  Everything seems to be up in the air right now, and none of us are really liking it at all.  Emotions seem to be running a little high at the moment.  

Well that's all the updates I have for now.  It's time to go give Jimmy a bath.  Hopefully, after Saturday, we will have some better news..please pray for us.
