Good news!!!!

Well, there's a little bit of bad news to start with, but it gets better, I promise! The home health nurse came out yesterday to draw Anne's coumadin levels, and the results came back at a 7.  Normal range is 2-3. Because of this, we (well Doug) had to take Anne to the ER immediately.  They gave her a Vitamin K infusion and found out that her sodium levels were low and her heart rate was high once again.  They decided to keep her overnight, and they have kept her tonight as well.  Hopefully she will be able to come home tomorrow.

Now for the good news! Anne's oncologist came in this morning and talked to Doug and Anne about why Hospice was being called in.  He stated that he doesn't believe she has had a fair chance at treatment yet, so he doesn't want to stop what they have been doing.  Therefore, HOSPICE ISN'T COMING IN!!! Anne will continue with treatment, and her prognosis will remain at 1-2 years with treatment. We are all so overjoyed!! It is such a relief to know that she isn't passing faster than we had thought.  Spirits are a lot higher here since we found out that news.

Well that is all the news I have for now.  I will update again when we know more.
