Update - Ava Bracelets and Donations

I'm very excited to update you on the Ava Bracelet sales. Because of your generosity, we made a donation of $164 to Cure SMA this afternoon (for a total of $464 over the course of January).

Many of you also donated larger sums than our $5 bracelet charge. In an effort to ensure total transparency, here is a breakdown of the money we received. The Cure SMA donations in Ava's name are $3 per bracelet ($464 total). I reimbursed myself $2 per bracelet from when I purchased them from the website. I would like to donate the difference to Laura and Dan for Ava's medical care (for a total of $551). If you have any objections to your donation being used in that manner, please contact me and I will send your additional donation to Cure SMA directly instead.

We are also in the process of planning a fundraising event to help with Ava's care, so please stay tuned for more information if you'd like to help organize, attend and/or donate.

If you have not received your Ava bracelet(s) in the mail, rest assured they are coming. There were a few returned due to postage shortages (oops), but I think they are all taken care of now. Please feel free to contact me if you are concerned.
