Laura’s 9pm Monday update
Temperatures were cool on the inlet today so we stayed indoors with Liza. Early, our support crew swapped out our spirit-friendly caregiver for Liza's "other-mother". Then the Athens army gave their individual goodbyes between donning Liza's signature beaded orange dress... which looked stunning on all the girls but not so much on her boyfriend😂! I will be the facilitator of the Traveling Dress as it attends future events wrapping Liza's friends with her energy and spirit. The big treat of today was a short visit from her cat, Pete. Fortunately he squeezed in a short snuggle somewhere between hiding beneath a pillow and hiding in the bathroom. Tonight's big event: another Liza favorite: Talladega Nights.
Liza amazes me daily with her ability to do this dying thing with bountiful courage, grace, and beauty, but PLEASE shout out your prayers for Liza's peace and comfort because it looks hard.
I'll close tonight with the words of Ricky Bobby: "You don't drive with your eyes, you drive with your heart."
🙏💫🏎️ 💪❤️

Liza exemplifies all the good in this world, wrapped into one beautiful, kind, selfless and smart lady! Still hoping for the Universe to deliver us miracles, and that she stays where she's loved and needed so much!
I couldn’t agree more! My only solace is in believing that the next realm needs her spirit and strength more there than we do here.
The orange dress goodbye parade sounds precious, sweet and hilarious all at once - from what you’ve shared it seems to encompass all that is Liza! And what an amazing tribute to have that dress appear at future events-her friends will no doubt wear it lovingly in her honor. Our prayers continue for Liza’s peace, as well as yours, Laura. I think Liza has already began to extend her spirit beyond the physical: maybe in part from your eloquent posts, but I honestly find myself hearing her in songs, noticing more beauty in the moments, the mountains, and with those I love; all this even though I’ve only met her twice! God truly has a plan for her, I just wish it wasn’t now. xo
Beautiful. Thank you for acknowledging the gifts this tragedy provides. 💗
Sending our love and peace for Liza. 🫶 Tracey, Brian & Carter
Your strength and support is your anchor right now. I have been so touched by witnessing the love and commitment from her friends. Simply amazing. God is preparing a place for her and she will go, not a minute too early or too late. See you tomorrow -your Hospice team
That orange dress on Liza was so beautiful!!! I loved that the only decoration she had in her room when we lived in Athens after freshman year was her Ricky Bobby poster! Liza I love you so much! 💓💓
It was pretty surreal watching it with her but only imagining hearing her laugh and repeat all the classic lines
Peace be with you Liza, and your caring tribe, and your beautiful family as you bask in the orange glows that all beautiful sunsets bring. 🙏💛🙏💛🙏
Praying for strength and peace for ALL. Liza, ride this wave girl, as only you can. We will all catch our wave one day hopefully as beautiful, courageous, and strong as you. ROCK ON GIRL✌
God Bless All of You 🙏🏻✨💔…Liza will be in my heart forever, as will You Laura. It’s amazing how total strangers can change your whole perspective. Thanks for sharing your Beautiful Daughter with Us.
Thank you for caring
Liza has been in my prayers, since I first read Megan's Facebook post back in March. My heart goes out to your family, but what a beautiful way you're honoring her inspirational life. Continued prayers for peace and comfort for Liza and your family. ❤️🙏🏻
I just keep checking the site because I can't believe this is real. I'm sure you feel the same way. Every day I am sending huge prayers and love for you all.
Liza and Laura and all others, thank you so much for teaching us about letting go and hanging on to what feels right. We lift you up for strength and peace. Linda Burke
Beautifully said ✨
Love and light and so much warmth surrounds this beautiful girl --sending positive energy to guide her on her journey and to the wonderful people surrounding her --you are doing an amazing job.
Liza, friends and family -- My heart and mind keep wandering your direction today. I will think of you as the sun sets in the South Dakota skies and in the Northern lights that illuminate our skies tonight. You have made such an impact on so many and I'm sorry you have all had to endure such immense pain and sadness. Praying for comfort, peace and love to all of you in the days ahead. May God's hand continue you to guide you on this journey....as I know he has the perfect spot waiting for you. Much love.
Sending love and prayers and a big mama heart to help hold yours. You seem superhuman to me Laura. Your grace, your grit..it’s who you are. I have been hoping and praying as I read all the FB updates. None of us can imagine any of this except how much we love our kiddos. Big hugs and kisses to you sweet mama.
Thanks, Alicia 💗
