Laura’s 10pm Sunday update
After a windy day, we capped off our weekend with a low-country boil in Liza’s honor, which included Liza’s Athens posse and steadfast boyfriend along with family and my personal support crew. As I write, my spirit-friendly caregiver has enlisted Liza’s grandparents to assist with pressure-point therapy to help ease Liza’s discomfort. Her Athens friends will stay with her tonight in one last Liza-inspired sleepover. The night nurse has no idea what awaits.
This afternoon I read a few of your comments on Posthope and was blown away. I always thought I was biased because of Liza being my daughter, but I realize that I’m not the only one who has been inspired by how authentically and vibrantly Liza lived each day.
Please continue your prayers for Liza’s peace and comfort as she transitions to her next adventure. Pray that we all feel the current of our universal connection and are blanketed by your love. 💗🙏⚡️💗

Liza is truly the cream of the crop. And I was blessed to have a daughter who was always even more adventurous and fearless than me. If only I could hang on when her moment comes. Wherever she’s off to is sure to be amazing!

Sending so many prayers, I used to play against Liza in high school. She was untouchable, she was so beautiful and so good at field hockey, I always looked up to her skill and competitive nature
She LOVED playing field hockey! So glad you were out there with her making it possible
Dear Laura, I have been captured by your daughter Liza’s story from the first time I saw her beautiful face on my newsfeed. I have been praying for her - and you - as well as your circle of family and friends. I so appreciate your updates that expose your heart and give all of us a glimpse into the depth of all that you are going through. Your expressions of such deep love and devotion to Liza are so beautiful. Sadly, I can identify with your deep pain as our beautiful 41 year old daughter was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor last fall. She passed away 2 weeks after her diagnosis. Like you, we prayed for a miracle this side of heaven, but our miracle is that she is fully alive in the arms of Jesus and awaits us there. In the words of a great author, “When you can’t see far enough through the darkness it is a great blessing when God provides another person to be there in the darkness with you.” I am there with you and I am so thankful God has surrounded you with so many people who are with you - loving you and are supporting you and your sweet daughter. I believe God can still give you the miracle you are praying for. He is a good Father and he loves Liza so completely. Even though we don’t understand - we can trust Him. There are 3 things that will remain: Faith, Hope and Love. And the greatest of these is love. Liza is deeply loved…
Thank you for reaching out with your daughter (and family’s) story
Thank you for approving me to follow this site for updates. I heard about Liza's story on the news and have been thinking about her and praying for her and you and your family. Liza is a beautiful girl and I am so sorry this has happened. I hope you feel all the love from around the world ♥️.
My name is Brooke and I am a college student from Denver, Colorado. I read Liza’s story in People magazine and was so sad and heartbroken. Liza seems so sweet and genuine. I had been reading your updates every night and I really appreciate you adding me so I can continue to read how her day went and send prayers. When stories captivate us I think that’s the universe’s way of telling us to send prayers and strength to the family- especially Liza. All my prayers go to Liza, you and your family during this time.
You all are blanketed
I have been praying for Liza and checking updates since the day I heard about what was going on. I had the pleasure of meeting Liza during rush. As a nervous freshman walking into the house and seeing Liza I felt so much better and like I could have talked to her about anything even though I had just met her and only spent 30 minutes with her. I remember thinking she had the most beautiful eyes and such a bright smile. With that being said that just shows the kind of person she is and I can only imagine how much she means to all of her friends and her family. Continuing to pray for peace and comfort for y’all 💗💗💗
Thank you for sharing that story with me.
Hi Laura, I’m here in New York, where the spring air has taken a bit of a chill. The birds are chirping particularly loud tonight and I hope they are singing by you as well. My daughter is at UGA - we have both been praying so hard for Liza and for you. I hope you feel the energy from near and far. Xoxoxo
What a love story! Y’all are in my thoughts. Sending so much love from Virginia Beach, Virginia 🥰🥰
Thank you, Virginians
My heart and prayers are constantly with you. Xoxo
Continued Prayers for Liza and all involved in her care. Prayers especially for her family during this very difficult journey. Love Joyce, Jarrod and Chad
Thanks Joyce. Big hugs to y’all 💓
