Laura’s 9pm Saturday update
Starting this as Tim McGraw’s Live Like You Were Dying plays. The coincidence is not lost on me.
This morning I snuck in bed with Liza for a couple hours and was awakened after a dream - one that I remembered (which is rare). In it, a woman was behind me and suddenly and unexpectedly I fell backwards and was swept into her arms. I attempted to tell Bryan and my friend who watched I loved them as I was whisked into a pulsing surge. I was on my way to the next journey, peacefully. Then everything was still and I heard the sounds of our house and felt Liza on my side. Perhaps it was the universe reminding me of the potential that awaits us.
Later, between caring for Liza and worrying for her leaking catheter, I walked with a friend and missed the friendly manatee that visited our house. I cried and smiled and even laughed with our support crew, marveled at the strength of my son, went for a boat ride complete with dolphins, received matching necklaces for Liza and me from her friends, and finally under a gorgeous sky shared a meal with this amazing group which is bound by our love for Liza.
Thank you for your enduring prayers for Liza’s peace as she leads us all with her courage and grace!
PS Last night she picked Soul Surfer. 💫💗🙏💪🏄♀️

Laura. I’ve prayed for you this morning. Knowing so little about you and your family. I’ve come to your and Liza’s story through UGA as I lead a Facebook prayer page. I’m praying to God the Creator of your Liza. The maker of heaven and earth who knows all the details to comfort and guide and for His peace to overwhelm in the midst of such a pain filled situation.
Laura, I hope that a get to meet you some day. You all are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Without a DOUBT, Liza’s Warrior Spirit comes from you. I bless you all daily with Numbers 6:24-26.
