Out of surgery
This is Bruce posting... Michelle went into surgery at 1:15, rather later than expected, and she is just coming out now. I talked briefly with Dr. Tozzi, the senior surgeon on her team (here in the UK he's called a "consultant"), and he says that there were indeed cancerous growths, but he was quite confident that he had removed all the cancer.
We'll have more information in the morning.
Michelle is not back from the recovery ward yet; I am waiting to see her before I go home. Thank you again for all your well wishes -- they kept our spirits up last night and today.

Thank you for the update, Bruce. I am so happy for Michelle that you are there by her side. I know you are providing the strength and love and support she needs. Thank you for being such a great husband to Michelle.
I am so grateful to Dr. Tozzi and the team for their amazing work to combat cancer! Thank you! I hope that both of you, Bruce and Michelle, have been able to get some much needed sleep. Take care to nurture and nourish yourselves with time (thyme), patience (other friendly patients), leafy green vegetables, protein, probiotics, lots of sleep and gentle walking (as prescribed by your doctors, of course). Thinking of you and sending our love. XOX Satie
