Allison's Adventures in Oxford
Yesterday we said goodbye to Allison Moehlis, another friend whose travel was funded by the "Cancer Warrior Treasure Chest." Thank you again, Sally and Bob!! Allison brought us a burst of California positivity. She spent the week with us, scrubbing and massaging my feet, doing errands, and generally keeping my spirits up. Allison is a rare friend, one who would fly halfway around the world and spend a week asking me, "how can I help you today?" She even offered to shave her head with me! I was the reluctant one, hoping I have enough hair -- however thin -- to make it through one more chemo round before I need to go bald. But her most amazing gift is dedicating her upcoming Ironman Triathalon to ME! She writes about her athletic training for the online news site, Santa Barbara Noozhawk. I will let her article stand as today's blog post.
In medical news, my neutrophil levels are still low -- .88, so I need to be tested again tomorrow morning with the hope I can go ahead with Chemo #4. I will "live blog" tomorrow's chemo. I am halfway done. I can do this!
hugs to you all,
MK
PS- I couldn't live blog chemo #4; the wifi at the Day Treatment Unit was acting up and I couldn't connect. But I am happy to report I came through without a reaction and this morning we are off to a lovely AirBnB in Cornwall to recuperate.

I love you so much Michelle! I miss you already. My Brexit went smoothly and this morning I taught spinning at 6am. I am teleporting my white blood cells to you. I have a strong feeling that by tomorrow morning you will be at 1. Thanks for posting the article. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and amazing person. I am here in Santa Barbara awaiting your return. Always remember, you are my belly button.
