Family of Three
Today is the day we are a family of three! We arrived in India this morning, took a nap, ate 2nd breakfast and went to go get our girl. Kira May Capistrant is in our forever family.
We brought Kira to a government office down the block and got her passport and birth documents for our visa interview later this week. We are so thankful to God for the caregivers who have loved and watched over our little one until today. It was obvious that they liked Kira as they would smile and say hi to her when they passed by. We are glad to be able to thank them and hug them for their care.
God answers prayers and provides abundantly. Kira’s paperwork is all prepared and she is ready to go for our other appointments, even with extra photos for her visa application. The hotel staff is very accommodating and excited for us. The Lord provided us with a room with a little extra space to be able to spend quality time together as a family.
Our room has the sounds of prayers over our family, Kelsey’s beautiful voice singing over Kira, and a child crying fighting her afternoon nap… but now as I finish this post, Kira is asleep in mama’s arms:
To mother is “to bring up a child with care and affection.”
Next, we fly to Delhi on Wednesday for examinations and embassy interviews.
We love Kira May.
Pray for our appointments, for our family bonding time and for our travel to go smoothly.
