Thank You
Today was filled with hugs and visits from friends and family. We are so blessed to have an amazing support system who will be by our side through this tough journey. We are trying to live each day as normal as possible and spending time with the people who matter most in life.
Last night Chad and I drove to the Rochester Airport to pick up my Aunt Beth and Uncle Randy. Beth is my dad’s sister, my mom’s best friend, and my second mom. She has been there to love and support mom from afar as they had already made the move to their second home in Florida several weeks ago. Being the amazing people that they are, they flew right home to be there for our family. Our day was spent running errands like picking out a huge bag full of books from the library to keep her occupied during this horrible waiting period. Today we had visits from Kelly, mom’s high school friend, Mom’s nephew and his wife, Beth and Randy, Mom’s parents, her sister, and her niece. The visits from friends and family bring so much happiness and distraction and are so appreciated.
In 24 hours this website has gone from 0 views to 700 views. It is overwhelming to see the amount of people who truly care about my mom. It is such a testament to her character and the person that she is. She is lovable, smart, funny, and her smile is wildly contagious. She has been so strong through this process thus far and we are all following in her lead. Thank you all for your support and kind words. The cards that arrive in the mail each day are set on the fireplace mantel in her bedroom as a reminder of the outpouring of love that she has already received. Please, share this site with friends and family and check in regularly as I will continue to post updates. The more prayers and positive energy sent our way the better! Once Mom is ready she may even try to post some updates of her own. We love you all and I can’t thank you enough for the strength that you’ve all helped to provide to her spirit each and every day thus far.

Cris, Tom's mother had lung cancer in 1983. She's still alive and WELL! We are very lucky to live in an area where we have several wonderful hospitals nearby and access to great care. Keeping you in my prayers!
