"Cancer is tough, but if I did it, you can do it" -Nolan
Our house continues to overflow with people sharing their love, hugs, and encouraging words. Mom met with her oncologist today. Dad, Beth, and Randy were there with her while Chad and Marisa were there listening in on the phone. The doctor was wonderful and answered the hundreds of questions that we had compiled. She will meet with her radiation oncologist on Friday morning. They were given a course of treatment that includes targeted chemotherapy and radiation. We are unsure at this time when each of these treatments will begin. As always, we will keep you informed when we find out more information. The support has been so overwhelming for my mom. She has been showered in love and feels it each and every day.
The first photo shows a note that brought the most tears and the biggest smile to her face. Mom had Nolan many years ago in Pre-K and he is so special to her as are all of her little “honey pots” that she has taught.
The second photo shows my mom’s side of the family. Team Gillen is always here to support us as well!

Your entire family is in our prayers when I told Walker you were sick he said "mom, I hope her kids are ok! She always giggled a little when she would say, 'Johnny, Walker no more talking' and she use to say 'good morning my little Honey pot'" Cris thank you for being the most amazing teacher in what is in my opinion the most important yr of school, the first yr! Oh my goodness, could that note from your little "honey pot" be any sweeter! When I see all this love pouring out for you Aunt Cris I am reminded just how blessed I am that you are my Aunt, my Godmother and also an Aunt to my babies! What an amazing example you are! Me and my little sweeties wish we were closer to come and give you a big hug but know we are thinking about you always and praying for you constantly! Kennedy says the sweetest prayers for her Aunt Cris "the one who always reads to me" she says :) Love you so very much! xoxo
