How to Help
Hi friends,
Thanks for the outpouring of help.
Sign up here https://goo.gl/xUbWji if you don't mind being asked for help down the road when they need it more. I might ask you to work from their place for a few hours so Dan can go to work, or give Eden a lift. Right now, on July 28th, Eden feels well and the Zs are going to get back to normal life. But if you sign up it will help me get them support when her treatment begins.
If you're far away/busy, we're organizing extra cleaning services for the Zs. You can donate via Paypal to zasloff AT yahoo DOT com and put Elvia in the memo/note.(Thanks to Sheila at Juno for this great idea. Pamela closed the Munchery group donation site -- they have plenty of Munchery to last them a while.)
Other great ways to help:
Reach out. Comment here, shoot them a text, or regular mail to 5002 37th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115. More contact info in the google doc.
Visit. They have family pouring in but they'll want visitors too. Outsiders help keep things lighter. All the info is in the https://goo.gl/xUbWji .
Fun. Life goes on. If you're going for ice cream, bring Alina and Julia with you. If you're going to a movie or something fun, grab the girls and Dan. Stop by to see if anybody wants to go for a walk, bike ride, play tennis, go swimming. They have relatives with them who can run door interference.
Don't be strangers and don't worry about how to approach the Zasloffs or what to talk about. No need to talk about anything related to brains. Tears are OK too.
They know everybody is reading this and are so grateful for your A+ thoughts and help.
