Busting Out of the ICU

Eric busted out...of the neuro ICU!

24 hours post-surgery, I'm happy to share that Eric is doing awesome. He's been up walking and enjoyed some delayed birthday cupcakes. Not quite the birthday anyone imagined, but in true Eric fashion, he is approaching each step with humor. We all enjoyed a good laugh (at his expense) hearing some of the awesome things he said under anesthesia!

We're hoping that a good night's sleep with fewer interruptions will help him continue to heal from surgery. Thanks to the awesome nursing staff, we were able to snag a few pictures of Eric and his favorite PT out for a little walk. Check out that awesome scar!

Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers! We are all blown away by your kindness, generosity, and wonderful stories about Eric. Keep them coming! The funny and heartwarming stories/comments really help lift everyone's spirits.
