A Little Down Time

There seemed to be a brief window of calm in Eric's life, so I decided last weekend was the perfect time to visit and stir things up a bit. In reality, Eric always fills his down time.

We floated the river with the amazing staff at Optimal Sports Physical Therapy - in honor of the 4 year anniversary of opening J's clinic. Hiked all over Mt. Helena. Successfully paddle boarded with Aspen on the board! Saw a mom and baby moose while on a hike!! Refilled a water drop for long distance CDT hikers. Cooked for family. Told backpacking and travel stories. Discussed the upcoming school year and the classes Eric is teaching. And walked through the realities of the next round of chemo.

Continuous motion and forward momentum with the knowledge that the chemo sucks and the fight continues.

I left Helena with the reminder that Eric is tough as nails and funny as hell!
